Hi! We’re Tahnée and Kate

We’re two Aussie girls who met while living in Canada over a decade ago, when Kate worked at Vancouver Art Gallery and Tahnée was a floral designer.

Fast forward 4 children, relocations back to Australia and two career changes and you arrive in January 2025 when Tahnée (the dreamer) sent Kate (the do-er) a text message that read “I have a business idea and I can’t do it without you”.

And thank goodness Kate said “I’m in!”, otherwise Unwind Co. would still be an idea in Tahnée’s Notes app!

With opposite brains but a shared love of creativity we’re on a mission to help women just like us to slow down, switch off, and discover the joy of creativity—one creative project at a time.

Meet Tahnée

Serial idea-haver. Spreadsheet avoider.

Cringes when Kate says: “Did you check the budget?”

Tahnée is a copywriter, messaging strategist and former floral designer (it’s a long story) who’s spent the past six years running The Strategy Studio and the last year trying to find a hobby that wasn’t, well, her business.

After turning 40 and swearing she’d spend less time doom scrolling, she set out to try every beautiful, screen-free creative project she could find.

Along the way, she realised something big: women weren’t lacking in their desire to be creative… they were just overloaded. Too many steps, too many supplies, too many tabs open (mentally and literally). That’s when the idea for Unwind Co landed and refused to leave.

She brings the brand vision, the aesthetic brain, and a deep love of joyful, low-pressure creativity.

She cannot use Excel but she will send fully formed business plans via WhatsApp!

Meet Kate

Logistics queen. Structure whisperer.

Cringes when Tahnée says: “I know! What if we…..”

Kate has spent her career in the philanthropic and fundraising space, managing high-stakes events and large-scale partnerships with truly excellent colour-coded spreadsheets and a knack for making the complex feel simple. She’s the kind of person who gets things done properly, efficiently, and without making a big song and dance about it.

So when Tahnée pitched her the Unwind idea—full of vision, vibes, and zero systems—Kate said yes on the spot. Because behind her logistics brain is a deeply creative thinker who knows how to bring good ideas to life and keep them running smoothly.

Thankfully, she’s got just enough patience to manage Tahnée when she sends a photo of her hand alongside a project box as a measuring tool.

She and Tahnée bring the perfect mix of magic and method and she wouldn’t have it any other way (most of the time).
